Molecular phylogenetic analysis resolving the taxonomic discrepancies among Salix L. species naturally found in Turkey

چکیده

Detailed phylogenetic relationships and molecular dating are still quite rare for the complex diverse genus Salix L. Here we focus on taxonomic status phylogeny of twenty-six taxa naturally found in Turkey using chloroplast DNA regions (trn T-F, matK, rbcL) to unravel relationship among them. The species was also checked tree constructed with data from Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS) region nuclear gene, including 158 accessions GenBank 126 newly generated sequences 26 (24 species) naturally Turkey. phylogenetic analysis sequence both (cpDNA) (nrDNA) enabled a reliable classification at subgeneric level (Salix Vetrix) high posterior probability/ bootstrap values as 1/100. study provides important information placements diverging times S. pentandroides, S.apoda, armenorossica, pseudomedemii, pedicellata subsp. pedicellata, pseudodepressa, amplexicaulis, two subspecies S.triandra, endemic (S. purpurea leucodermis rizeensis) first time. Taxonomically, amplexicaulis rizeensis previously classified under subgenus Vetrix were clustered phylogenetically Salix. Subgenera appears be diverged subg. Eocene (ca. 45.1 Mya) while estimated divergence dated back 23.1 21.65 Mya, respectively. However, within subgenera seem around Pliocene period. Molecular between native world mainly associated hierarchy, rather than geographic proximity.

Molecular detection and phylogenetic analysis of Mycoplasma gallisepticum from backyard and commercial turkey flocks in Iran

Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) is economically important pathogen of poultry causes airsacculitis and frequently infraorbital sinusitis in turkeys. Infections may remain without clinical signs, but they can make birds susceptible to secondary infections. This study was carried out for molecular detection and phylogenetic analysis of MG infections in commercial and backyard turkey flocks ...

Phylogenetic Relationships between Four Salix L. Species Based on DArT Markers

The objectives of this study were to evaluate the usefulness of DArT markers in genotypic identification of willow species and describe genetic relationships between four willow species: Salix viminalis, S. purpurea, S. alba and S. triandra. The experimental plant material comprised 53 willow genotypes of these four species, which are popularly grown in Poland. DArT markers seem to identify Sal...

Phylogenetic Relationships of American Willows (Salix L., Salicaceae)

Salix L. is the largest genus in the family Salicaceae (450 species). Several classifications have been published, but taxonomic subdivision has been under continuous revision. Our goal is to establish the phylogenetic structure of the genus using molecular data on all American willows, using three DNA markers. This complete phylogeny of American willows allows us to propose a biogeographic fra...

Molecular detection and phylogenetic analysis of Avipoxvirus strains isolated from different bird species

The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to amplify a 578 bp fragment of the poxvirus 4b core protein. Avipoxvirus (APV) specific DNA was detected in all 10 different isolates (each of which had been isolated from an epidemic) isolated from chicken; canary and mynah were collected from Tehran province. Sequencing was performed for 2 isolates as representative and the nucleotide sequence sho...
